How does my group get coverage in Express?
If your organization or event has never been covered in Express, it’s a good idea to email the Express Cincinnati editor, Rebecca Chambers, in advance to introduce yourself and your nonprofit organization. If you have an immediate question, call 513-771-5088.
Do I have to pay to have Express run my story?
No. Express is supported solely through advertising. So while we do not charge nonprofits for editorial coverage, we do encourage advertising your event to increase your sponsors’ exposure AND help to ensure that Express will be able to continue to cover your events.
How do I submit a press release and photos?
Email them to the editor. Include event details and identify everyone in your photos. If your photos are too large to email ask the editor to send you FTP instructions.
How soon should we send material to Express about a fundraiser or benefit?
Start early and keep in touch. Three to four months ahead of time is not too soon to start. “Save the Date” announcements often run as soon as a date is locked in for the event.
